Description

The soybean sat on the edge of the field, gazing out into the distance. It had always been an ambitious bean, eager to make something of itself beyond being a mere legume. Its dreams had always been to become the next big thing, the shining star in the agricultural world. It had seen other soybeans before it get harvested and taken away, their fates sealed to become something entirely different from what they had once been. But not this soybean. This one was going to make something of itself, no matter what. The days turned to weeks, and the weeks turned to months. The soybean watched as the other plants around it grew tall and strong, basking in the sunlight. It began to feel inferior, wondering if it was destined to remain forever small and insignificant.
